NUNAVIK MARINE REGION PLANNING COMMISSION (NMRPC)

Qaujimautik Systems was awarded a contract by the Nunavik Marine Region Planning Commission (NMRPC) to design, develop and implement a website (www.nmrpc.ca) for the Commission in addition to web application services including a Document Management System (DMS), an information management system, and a series of custom tools such as a sophisticated online agenda builder and an interactive calendar of events.

NUNAVIK MARINE REGION IMPACT REVIEW BOARD (NMRIRB)

NUNAVIK LANDHOLDING CORPORATION ASSOCIATION (NLHCA)

Qaujimautik Systems was awarded a contract from the Nunavik Landholding Corporation Association (NLHCA) to develop the Association website and back-end web applications that manage over 1,000 land leases owned by the 15 Inuit Landholding Corporations in Nunavik (www.nlhca.ca).  The system includes management of leases, lease monitoring, automatic invoicing, a web map service, a document management system (DMS) and multiple integrated databases to manage landholding information (Board of Directors, users, subsidiary companies, and landholding news).

KUUJJUAMIUT INC.

Qaujimautik Systems was contracted to develop the website for Kuujjuamiut Inc. Kuujjuamiut was established in 1988 by the signing of the Kuujjuaq (1988) Agreement. Parties to the Agreement include Makivik Corporation, the Northern Village of Kuujjuaq, Nayumavik Landholding Corporation, Hydro-Quebec, and the James Bay Energy Corporation. For more information see www.kuujjuamiut.com. In addition to the website, Qaujimautik Systems has been contracted by Kuujjuamiut for some monitoring projects around the northern village of Kuujjuaq.

Project 1: Water level Monitoring in the Koksoak River

Qaujimautik Systems Inc. designed and built a satellite linked water monitoring system for Kuujjuamiut Inc. who required a solution to monitor unsafe boating areas on the Koksoak River near the northern village of Kuujjuaq.  The monitoring station, employed during the summer months, includes a water level transducer that measures water pressure at depth every 15 minutes.  Data is sent in near real-time to a custom web interface that includes the raw depth values in both table and chart forms.

Project 2: Camera Monitoring Stations at the Kuujjuaq Marine Infrastructure

In October 2012, Qaujimautik Systems will install 4 custom built remote camera stations at the marine infrastructure in Kuujjuaq. The purpose of the stations are to monitor the marine infrastructure area and as a preventative measure to try and limit the damage being caused at the marina.

ARCTIC CRUISES

Qaujimautik Systems was contracted by Arctic Cruises Inc. to develop their website. Arctic cruises is owned and operated by Inuit from Kuujjuaq, Kangirsuk and Kangiqsuallujjuaq. The highly flexible and personal nature of our cruises is a direct result of our knowledge and experience of this vast territory and will allow our guests to experience a cruise like no other.

GOVERNMENT OF NUNAVUT

Strata360 and Qaujimautik Systems, under contract by the Nunavut Government, are developing and implementing a fur tracking system application. The system provides an end-to-end web-based software solution to manage the territories fur harvesting processes by tracking fur pelts received at conservation offices across all 25 Nunavut communities. The application also accounts for advance payments made to fur harvesters and tracks the shipping of fur pelts from the communities to the auction house in North Bay, Ontario. The system will replace the current paper-based support with a seamless continuum of fully-integrated electronic transactions and reports.
